FAMILY BENEFIT SCHEME (FBS)

• FBS was started in ,1989 by IMA State to provide assistance to the families of the members, offering its invaluable services through two schemes namely Regular and ‘A’ Schemes.
• In May 2019 Regular series and ‘A’ series are merged with the suggestion of members.
• Present Membership:2855. Aim is to make it 5000 by enrolling new members.
• First beneficiary in 1992 got Rs. 25,000/-, in 2020 Rs. 9Lakhs for Regular Series.
• All office Bearers are confidant to increase the new membership.
• To join FBS age limit has increased to 70 years from 2019.
• Death Fraternity (DF) benefits for Regular Series increased to Rs.9Lakhs from Rs.5Lakhs ‘A’ Series it is increased to Rs.5Lakhs from 1.5Lakhs.
• DFC Bills will be sent every six months of the year in June and December.
• The new DF Contribution and DF Benefit will be effective from 1st July 2019.
• In 1992 DFC was Rs.50/- from 2020 DFC is Rs.350/-
• Complementary Health Coverage of One Lakh for members of FBS from 2019, in TS HS.

Following resolutions were passed in the Council meeting of FBS on 19/12/2020

1.  ‘A’ Series who are getting 5Lakhs as DFC can Voluntarily migrate to Regular Series of FBS, by paying an amount of Rs.40,000/- to get DFC of 9Lakhs. (No Compulsion)
2.  Those members who have paid contribution for 30 years are exempted from paying DFC. For them amount is paid from scheme and deducted at the time of final DFC to the nominees. Voluntary declaration is must for such benefit.
3.  Health camp financial assistant to the of Rs.10,000/- in the form of Medicine to the Branches of IMA TS for six such camps in a year.

Admission Fees:

1. 45 years and below- Rs.3000/-
2. 45 to 55years –Rs. 4000/-
3. 55 to 60 years – Rs. 5000/-
4. 60 to 65 years – Rs.10,000/-
5. 65 to 70 years – Rs.15,000/-
